Soft bread rolls, Nothing beats the smell of fresh bread! This easy recipe makes 9 large bread rolls or 12 regular sized bread rolls.




INGREDIENTS:

1 Packet of Instant Yeast (10g)

¼ Cup Warm Water

1 Cup Warm Milk

2 Tbsp White Sugar

2 Large Eggs

2 Tbsp Melted Butter

3 ½ Cups White Bread Flour

2 Tsp Salt

1 Egg for an Egg Wash




SOFT BREAD ROLLS METHOD:

1. In a large bowl, add the Instant Yeast, warm Water, warm Milk and Sugar. Stir to combine and allow yeast to proof for 5 minutes until bubbling.

2. Add Eggs and the 1 Tbsp of Melted Butter, whisk to combine. Then add 2 cups of White Bread flour and the Salt, stir into a slack dough.

3. If using an electric mixer: Start mixing the dough with a dough hook and slowly add the remaining flour until a soft dough is formed, then knead for a further 5 minutes.

4. If using by hand: Add remaining dough 1 cup at a time while kneading until a soft dough is formed, then knead for a further 5 minutes.

5. Add kneaded dough to a bowl and allow to rise for an hour or until doubled in size.

6. Preheat oven to 190 C and prepare a baking tray by spraying with non-stick spray.

7. Divide the dough into 9 or 12 pieces for large or regular rolls respectively and roll into balls. Place onto greased baking tray. Allow to rise again until double its size.

8. Brush each roll with an egg wash and bake for 15-20 minutes, until browned.

9. Enjoy your Soft bread rolls.
